"Sea battle" - a game for two. On maps divided into squares, each player has their own ships. The opponent must guess the coordinates of the enemy fleet and destroy it. Most of our compatriots know the rules of "Sea battle" from their school years.
Game history
It is believed that the game was invented during the First world war. At the beginning of the last century, the fleet began to be replenished with large ships, battleships and battleships. Active fighting at sea may have stimulated the desire to reproduce the battle on sheets in a cage from school notebooks.
According to another version, the game was invented in the 1870s by boatman Peter Kondratev. Fun distracts from the hard work and diversified the dull routine of the farm Burlatsky. The idea was successful, the game was widely distributed and safely reached our days.
In the 30s of the last century, the United States produced special marked notebooks for naval combat. In the 50s, the firm of Milton Bradley (Milton Bradley) released a version of the game with warships and chips on a plastic Board. In the 80's, game puzzles appeared, and a few years later an electronic version of the game was released.
